The project
I joined the Buck Experience team to design the UI/UX for a custom experience in Meta’s Oculus Pro. We were tasked with bringing to life the Hintze Hall in the Museum of Natural History in London in Horizon Worlds, where users could meet in virtual reality to experience immersive experiences of each exhibit, take a live tour, or interact with friends or visitors while in the museum.

My Role
- Designed the UI/UX for a VR experience in Meta’s Oculus Pro
- Mapped user journeys for onboarding, navigation, and social features.
- Created data viz for each exhibit turning complex info into immersive, interactive elements
- Built custom interactions using hand and controller input, along with physical triggers and live audio.
- Developed spatial UI systems and a VR UX strategy focused on clarity, comfort, and accessibility.
- Collaborated with 3D artists and engineers to align visuals, interactivity, and environment.

A Virtual Visit to an Iconic Hall
- Designed working prototypes for 5 exhibits
- Created interactions that Meta could continue to reuse for the platform at large
- Conducted user testing for interaction with live audio and groups
- Worked with Meta engineers and researchers to customize the experience as they were building out the next release for the Oculus Pro interaction design
